I wrote on FB re: how H & I had talked about baby's dedication at church & 1st b-day party b/c we're so excited about welcoming this LO into our lives!  Someone commented that it will all fly by & be sure to enjoy today.  It felt like a reprimend when I simply was commenting on how excited we were & are looking ahead to having our little family.  Am I wrong to take it that way? Am I just too hormonal?!?  lol  Just bothered me so had to vent! Tongue Tied

    Not exactly. I think most people don't mean to be obnoxious. What they are saying is true but they may themselves have forgoton the excitement of having a new baby. I don't think your being hormonal its just like a stab that takes away from your feelings about being a mom.

    It depends... from some people I take it that they're jerks and trying to bring me down.  And in some cases, that might be right.  But I bet a lot of people are just proud of their parent status, or they regret not taking their time with things, and believe they are offering helpful advice!

    I can understand the other person's post because there are days that I say I can't wait for DS to do this or that and then I have to say wait enjoy the moment...enjoy his age right now...I think that's all the post was about =) But I also understand your excitement and looking forward to your future =)

    I don't see anything wrong with that at all. That's a pretty typical comment. It's okay to be excited just as it's okay to love today.

    I see those comments on other people's FB and I get mad for them! It just sounds like they're telling me what to do, like I'm not going to appreciate every day anyway.
