Sex question: c-section mommas

So... I understand why women who delivered vaginally can't have sex for a while, but why can't we?  And is there any rule on orgasms?

Re: Sex question: c-section mommas

  • I had my 3 week PD appt today and was given the green light to do as I please. I think we will wait until 6 weeks PD as my discharge instructions say. I think the wait is so that your ute and cervix can get back to normal.

  • I think pp is right...even with a c-section your cervix is dilated, so waiting prevents infection.  I think it's a pretty small risk though...anyway I hope so, we only made to week 5.

  • The placenta wound is still healing and could still get infected.  Either way, your insides still need to heal.  Better to get a go ahead from the doctor.

  • Where they detached the placenta is an open wound. Introducing foreign objects into it would be a great way to get an infection.

  • In  my discharge papers it was said 10 days.  I am growing more eager but we are also waiting for my bleeding to stop completely.
