how could it be

that easy? I have never had X on any kind of schedule. He eats when he wants, sleeps when he wants and usually he is wide awake from about 10pm until about 130am. We watch the news and stuff and usually about 1230am I start to get him to settle down by swaddling him. The tv is on and the lamp is on in the corner. Dh works afternoons so I always wait up for him to get home at about 1130pm so I don't really mind that he is up that late. I always hold him until he falls asleep and I lay him down in the RnP and he is all set.

I was telling dh today that I need to start getting him used to going to bed at a decent hour since he is getting older and starting to pay attention a little more. So about 11pm tonight, he was wide awake and I swaddled him up, and put him in my room, in the dark, in the RnP.....  HE WENT TO SLEEP! Within about 30 minutes he was out like a light.

I hope it isn't just a fluke.... now, hopefully he will sleep until about 6am like he has done the last few days :) but that might be asking too much. lol

  • Wow, way to go X!!! That's awesome! DS is consistently sleeping 5+ hours in his first stretch of the night now.. it's so great. He likes to grunt and "talk" for 20 minutes before falling asleep, though. It's so funny!

  • Wow! Thats impressive! I swear my baby understands what I say. Every time I say something about other people's babies (on this board) doing something like STTN or eating a certain amount or whatever, she does it! I know its coincidence, or maybe some positive thinking... haha. Anyway, congrats!

What a great listener you have!!! hahaha That is so cute. I will have to tell Brayson tonight how all his birth month baby friends are sleeping so good, because he is still on his round the clock eating every 3 - 4 hours.

  • Thats awesome! Go X, I also need to inform my son how awesome his friends are! We side-lying nurse at night (we bedshare) so I dunno how often he eats, but I know he still wakes to eat at night because we only bedshare after he wakes me to eat, the little bugger. Now if only he would STTN we could leave him in his sidecar crib...
