NBR: FACEing

I want to do a FACEing session, but I don't know the best way to do it.  for those of you that have done it before, did you do a class, or one on one?  I really really want to do it.

Re: NBR: FACEing

  • I had no clue what you were talking about, so I just googled it and I am completely intrigued.  I don't normally put on make up or do my hair, but that's simply because I just don't know how (as in, I don't know what looks good).  So, I am really fascinated by this.  I would like to hear other's stories as well.

  • I love Nancy! I did a session about this time last year, prior to the launch of the FACEing name. She had done my make-up for both my weddings.  Love her. So I emailed asking for a session. Little did I know she was about to launch this business. It really changed my life. I had no idea what I was doing with makeup. She is awesome, non judgemental and patient. I get compliments all the time now!

DO THE ONE ON ONE>> you deserve the "me" time.

  • If you don't do the one-on-one and you're looking for people to do it, I would love to do it. I need all the help I can get:)

  • I went when Nancy did the Bump trial class when she was first starting.  I loved it so much that I went again in February with just myself and my best friend.  It is way better with less people.  I sooo blame Nancy for turning me girly again.  I had stopped wearing makeup during grad school.  Now I feel all nakey and gross without it.  I hate shopping, but I love makeup shopping now, too.  You will LOVE her.  Do it!

  • I surprised my sister with a session so it was just the two of us. We had an amazing time...it was like a pretty party for just the two of us. We left there feeling fantastic. Nancy is so great at what she does and I really liked that she used some of my makeup while giving me suggestions for new things to try. I will definitely be booking a session again!

  • This is really interesting.  I feel like I need to start wearing makeup so I can look more polished and less tired but like pp said I have no idea how because I never have.  Does this work if you own like zero makeup because I own pretty much nothing.  Also, I noticed that she has multiple "looks" courses.  Which ones did you guys do?
  • I just sent Nancy a message about this!  I desperately need her help.  Let me know what you decide to do!
  • Rachel and I did this with one of her friends and I loved the small group. Nancy taught me so much because I don't really wear a lot of makeup. It is definitely worth the money and she's fantastic! Have fun!!

Yes, you could go without owning any makeup. She will tell you what to buy and the tools you need to apply. I love Nancy and the techniques I've learned from her are invaluable. if you aren't experienced with makeup I'd start with the basics for an every day face. I wear makeup every day now and feel much more polished and put together.

  • I am in for sure!  I tried to get a group together last year but with school and all the schedule conflicts it just never happened.  I would LOVE to do this!
  • If you end up going the small group route, I know a friend who'd be interested. ::::coughmecough:::::

  • I would be interesting in signing up if you make a group session!
  • I'm off to google because I'm intrigued but my new job requires a far more put together look than my usual bare face. I'd be interested too.
  • Love Nancy. Love FACEing. Nancy had done my makeup numerous times so I picked up tips but I wanted 1-1 time. I did a session with my sister in November and picked up so many new tips. Now that I leave the house for work every day, I have to wear makeup and I'm so glad I did the session with Nancy.

  • Nancy rocks my socks off. I've worked with her a few times, and I learn something new every.single.time. In fact, I bought both SILs (and myself) a gift certificate for a group lesson. It is burning a hole in my pocket, since I have to wait on them to coordinate a date for our session. I agree with pp's - I've never had "fun" with makeup until Nancy taught me how to appreciate it. She has increased my makeup IQ, tenfold. Simply put, I love her and a class with her is worth EVERY PENNY.
  • I would love to go. I need a pick-me-up!
