We have a Shermag glider/ottaman and I really like it. I could never afford a dutailer so I never looked at it but the Shermag is perfect for us (we will be able to use it as furniture when we are done with it in the nursery).
Only thing with Shermag is that you need to tighten the glider screws on a regular basis or things get wobbly when the glider is rocking.
My Shermag broke this week! The rocking mechanism locked up and it won't rock anymore. After only 16 months!
Full disclosure: I still rock my son to sleep for naps and bedtime so that chair has a LOT of miles on it. But still. I thought it would last longer. Although my DH swears he's going to fix it with some duct tape. We shall see.
After 7 failed IUIs, IVF w/ ICSI worked!!
I am thankful every day for my miracle after infertility.
We have the reclining glider and I've logged more butt hours in that thing than in my car (and I drive for work).
We've had it for about 5 years now. It's gone thru BF'ing 2 babies and is still used every single night for story time - often with one or both of them climbing like monkeys on the side of the arm and hanging off the back.
It's held up GREAT.
We've needed to tighten it down one time in 5 years.
Can't speak highly enough about it!
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
