Whose babies are napping in places other than on someone now? I know there was a time when most of us said our babies wouldn't nap anywhere else. I've recently gotten DD to where she'll nap somewhere other than on me, but it's really only for about 30-45 minutes. After that, all bets are off. What are your daytime naps like?

Re: Naps
LO has only napped on me when he's feeling sick, in his case he's been dealing with gas/colic that I think we might now have under control. From the beginning he was only sleeping in his RnP. If he fell asleep elsewhere we'd move him but hopefully get him down awake enough that he knew where he was. We recently transitioned to his crib, maybe 2 weeks ago, so he's been doing most naps in the crib.
When he has fallen asleep on me, I'll put him down as soon as I can. Even if it wakes him up. We'll start the process over again if necessary, even if it goes on all day long. Eventually they'll get used to napping in the right spot. All the books say it takes 3 consistent days to make any transition, so if you can muscle through it should work.

DS is getting more difficult to put down for naps now. He fights his sleep so bad and then I end up with a cranky, screaming baby because he is overly tired. I try to put him down for a nap before he shows me he is tired but even then he still won't go down for a nap.
They used to be really great and he would go to sleep easily without hardly any help from us.
