My son seems to cry and scream almost all the time.....It is really getting to me. He hardly seems content.. He is on prilosec, and that seems to help. Its just so upsetting to me that no matter what I do, he still cries. He is 8 weeks, and i thought it was supposed to get better??

DS started screaming all throughout the day randomly and then continuously throughout the night right around 3 weeks. I was going crazy and couldn't emotionally take it anymore. It was also in the midst of us trying to figure out his formula, soy made it sooo much worse but once we put him on Nutrimagen it stopped. I think the other formulas were too hard on his tummy.
He still has his nights but nothing like the inconsolable crying it was before.
I'd speak to your pedi. It might be the formula, it might be gas. You might want to try giving him some mylicon drops, you can do that with every feeding. We just added gripe water, 4x a day, on Monday night and it's made a huge difference for my LO. If it's the formula, ask your pedi to make a recommendation, they can run a test to see what LO might be allergic to. You can also confirm that LO is on the right reflux meds, some babies respond better to one Rx over another.
Hopefully you can find something that helps, but they do eventually grow out of it so no matter what, there is an end in sight. Hang in there, you are definitely not alone.
