News: GL to all our ladies in the 2ww! T&P to FemmeNat01 on getting past her PPD so she can get home with her girls. Welcome to new member sucrets4!

Updates: Last week, lemen99 had a dr appt and everything looked good! ijack's baby became a thumper and DH got to feel. mrsmikey is feeling movement and waiting for her anatomy scan and the start of cervical checks and 17P shots on 4/20. I had a midwife appt and took my first GTT. FemmeNat01's girls are doing well, but she's working through some PPD issues. Sucrets4 joined our group; her DD was born at 33w due to PTL and she's going to start TTC in the summer!

If you'd like to address a question to the group, please feel free to page or PM me.

Re: Pregnant (& TTC) After Preemie Check-In!

  • I'm SICK AGAIN! Ugh. I swear, ever since I've started taking the extra Vitamin C and the probiotics, I've been sick all the time. I know they aren't related, but it's still annoying. This time it's a cold - started in my throat and has moved to sinuses and lungs. Boo. My eyes are still bloody from all the puking I did the other week, too. But, my appt on Monday went well, and I know they got the results of my GTT yesterday and I haven't heard anything yet, so I think that's good news. They aren't planning to call unless it's bad news...but I'll probably call and ask how the numbers looked on Thurs/Fri anyway. DD was very well behaved, but I actually have a friend who is pg now and we've agreed to watch each other's kids while we have appts, so now when I go I can focus on the new baby and not keeping DD in line. We scheduled our anatomy scan - 4/18!!!!!! We're going up to CT a couple weeks after, and I think we're going to surprise our families with a sex reveal cake (you know, pink or blue frosting in the middle). Less than 2 weeks!

  • shannon glad to hear things are going well for you. Sorry you're sick. Hope you feel better soon.

Ds#3 is doing great. He's almost back up to his birth weight already. He's a champion nurser and a pretty good sleeper too. I'm so glad we avoided the NICU  this time around even though he's still a preemie.

    T&P to everyone else.

Clotho, I didn't know you had your baby - congratulations!!

I'm doing pretty good. I was having some contractions last night, but they seem to have calmed down and I'm hoping it was just because I was stressed (DH is oot, DD has walking pneumonia and I have to stay home with her AND work, work suck, etc).

Does anyone's husband travel? I realized that last night I need an emergency plan in place if something happens while he's gone.

  • Congrats Clotho!  I didn't realize you'd had your baby either.  So glad he didn't have any NICU time.

Sorry you're sick again Shannon, that's no fun at all.

ijack, I hope your contractions were just due to stress, I'm sure that was scary.  Probably would be a good idea to figure out some sort of backup plan though since your DH travels.  My DH doesn't travel, but he works an hour away and I'm already worried about the amount of time it will take him to get home in an emergency.  My MIL lives here, but can sometimes be unreliable, so I'm hesitant to solely count on her.

Nothing new going on here.  I'm actually not feeling movement anymore, which is disappointing, but I'm not worried about it (or at least trying not to).  I think it's just still too early for me.  I guess those flutters I felt a couple of weeks ago were just a tease :)  I think they were real, but baby must have moved so that I can't feel him/her anymore.  Still have my appt on 4/20 for anatomy scan, cervix check, and 17p shot.  I also go in next week for my quad screen, but no exam :(

  • Shannon - I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well.  However, that's great news that you have a friend who is also pregnant who can look after your daughter while you're at your doctor's appointments.  Can't wait to find out whether you're team blue or pink.  Either way, you are blessed.  No updates for me - still trying - hopefully I'll get some good news sometime this year.

Just got back from the OB and my cervix is still long and closed, so that's good. She did a FFN but doesn't really suspect anything will come of it. She told me that any discomfort that I had in the first pregnancy will be multiplied by 100, so I guess I'll just expect that, but that I should call anytime I have more than 4 contrax in an hour.

I'm glad it was nothing :)

  • Hi girls!  Clotho, congrats!  I didn't realize you had your baby!  Yay for no NICU time!

Shannon, sorry you're sick.  Pregnancy will do a number on your immune system for sure.  :(

Ijack, get that plan in place, hon!  ;)

Mikey, good luck with the 17P stuff coming up!

As for me...  I'm plugging along.  I have my next OB appt tomorrow night.  I passed my GTT test (YAY!).  So, I'm hoping it's smooth sailing from here on out.  I've got 8 more shots left...and I'm just hoping we can keep this baby in here the whole time.  I've started buying things for the baby (bassinet, diapers, new diaper bag).  It's really getting real.  I'm listening to my Hypnobabies CD's...and I'm listening to the "Baby Stay IN" track whenever I get a little anxious about having a preemie.  It's helping.  ;)
