my awesome MIL just dropped off a McDonald's salad and some iced vanilla coffee along with stamps for my shower thank you notes.. Yumm.
Thing is it's a large and I feel guilty to finish it. I rarely drink caffeine. Maybe a coke once or twice a week. I am borderline anemic now and hear it can prohibit iron absorption. I guess it's diluted by the creamers and stuff though.
Anyone drink quite a bit of coffee? I have swayed away because I know it has more caffeine than coke but this is just so delish. lol
Re: How often do you drink coffee?
I say go ahead & enjoy it!
I drink one regular size mug of coffee every morning (12 oz, maybe?) but will sometimes have a coke or something else later in the afternoon if I'm falling asleep. Plus, yours has ice, so it's diluted. go for it, it sounds delicious right about now.

Make a pregnancy ticker
i drink it a couple times a week... i make it iced and put it in my iced starbucks cup... so with the ice and everything though, it probably only adds up to about 1-2 cups of actual coffee

I've cut out coffee but I do have a large soda or ice tea once in awhile. This pregnancy I've deffinatly caved on the caffeine intake. When I was pregnant with DS I didn't drink anything that wasn't Decaf or caffeine free all together. I still try to keep to decaf as much as possible.
As long as you limit the caffeine in your diet you should be fine.
I agree with this. Just don't have much for the next few days or so! Nothing wrong with a treat every once and while and besides there likely isn't much actual coffee in there anyway!
Enjoy!

I have one to two cups a week - I would enjoy in and not worry about it too much. Sounds like you do pretty well every other "typical" day. ENJOY the yumminess!
My OB practice allows all its patients to consume 16 oz of caffeinated beverages a day. That works out to a little more than a 12 oz can of coke, or two small 8 oz cups of coffees, etc. I actually pour my coffee or my coke into my Pyrex measuring glasses to see exactly how many ounces I'm consuming because I like to max out my 16 oz allowance (during second and third tri at least), but not go over.
I used to drink coffee daily, but as I can only have a cup or two a day being pregnant and all, I simply switched to drinking mostly tea ( I can have more cups should I wish too) However as I havn't had coffee in such a long time I decided to go to starbucks and get something yummy......downside made me feel sick as I am no longer used to drinking coffee so back to tea I go.
anyway this really didn't answer your question but I think a coffee here and there should be ok.

I would think that you would be okay to drink the whole thing. You could add ice to dilute it a little bit?
I will let myself have 1 or 2 cans or bottles of Dr. Pepper per week, similar to you. I don't want to drink too much caffeine, but I'm glad that I am able to drink it somewhat regularly because I am obsessed with it, haha.

Every day I'll have a decaf coffee or americano.
Occasionally I'll get half-caf instead.
ya! ALL.your.fault. It had nothing to do with my lack of self control!
