Yep, mine has been doing it every chance he gets. A will have a different learning curve, they are different babies, afterall. Perhaps it's because you have practiced standing more?
K loves to stand up holding on to our footstool. She gets so proud of herself. My oldest did the same and ended up taking her first steps at 9 months. It's bittersweet, you love to see them hit that mile stone but you hate that they are growing so fast.
My 7 month old just pulled himself up into a standing position. Weird. I swear my first was not doing that at this age.
I was shocked on Sunday when my DS tried to pull himself up on the coffee table. He is doing things way quicker than my DD, I know all kids are different but we still compare them.
My mom - who watches DD on the days that I work - called me at the office this morning to say that the baby took her first steps. I'm so sad I missed it -- but I'm proud of her for doing it! She started crawling about a month ago, so I thought it would be a little longer till she was walking (not that she's "walking" walking yet).
Daycare said D's been trying to pull herself up a lot now, but we haven't seen it. She is great at scooting herself around at home, though (we have wood floors, which makes it extra easy for her). I've seen her grab onto the table leg to pull herself towards it, but not to try to pull herself up to standing yet.

He doesn't pull up, but if I get him to standing position and hold his hands, he'll stay there all day! I have to force him to sit. Now, tummy time, we still need more work on that one.

My little one is trying to pull himself up. He almost did it the other day while he was in his crib. He has no interest in crawling. You put him on his tummy and he will get on his hands and knees and then try and put his feet flat because he wants to stand.
C isn't pulling himself up, but loves to stand and can balance against things on his own for about a minute or so at a time. He also loves to 'walk' with someone holding his arms or sides. DH and I often sit on the floor and pass him back and forth between us; he's completely supported the entire time so he's definitely not walking, but he's desperate to do so! (far more than rolling or crawling)

G loves to stand! He started a few days after he started to crawl at 6 months! He is now cruising! He is doing things so much faster than E did. I think he is just trying to keep up with her. E didn't crawl until she was 8.5 months, but was crusing within a few days.

Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
Does it and loves it. I keep trying to convince her that she cannot pull herself up on mommy's pants....
She also is apparently like Spiderman since she has managed on a daily basis to walk her hands up the sliding glass door into a standing position.
