I was reading in an article that SSTN at 14 weeks was anywhere from 5-6 hours a night... I don't consider that STTN... me it would be more like 8 hours... what do you think?
Medically speaking it is 5-6 hours, but according to my sleep schedule that is way off! My LO would sleep about 6 hours, wake up to eat and go back to sleep for about 4 more hours at that age. So it wasn't too bad!
I define it as me going to bed at night and DS not waking up until at least 6am. For some reason if it's 5:50am I feel like he didn't STTN lol. We used to go to bed normally by 11-11:30pm but now it's more like midnight with the baby so not a huge difference. He normally wakes up at 6am the earliest but sometimes as late as 8:30am. We started day care this week and DS is falling asleep a couple hours earlier than usual. This resulted in him getting up at 2:30am to eat last night/this morning. We aren't used to this anymore so I am soooo sleepy here at work lol.
Re: How do you define SSTN?
FET to TTC #2: 9/29/14 Beta on 10/8/14 = BFP!
DS #1 Born 1/3/11 after IVF #1
4 failed IUIs, including 1 CP
PCOS
TTC since 2008
This. Medically speaking 5-6 hrs is STTN. IMO STTN is not until at least 8hrs without waking up.
"Medically" DD is STTN, but in reality she's not.
To me honestly it means I don't have to get out of bed in the middle of the night to attend to him.
We get a 6-7 hour stretch, sure... but we don't go to bed until 3 hours into it, so it does us no good.
Us too. STTN = You put LO to bed and don't wake up again until you're ready to start your day the next morning.
