Despite the power outage (from 2:30 am- noon today) from the storms, I was still able to take a shower... thanks to our gas hot water heater. Can you imagine going to the OB without showering for 24 hours? Ick.
Everything is healing fine, despite the fact that I can still barely walk sometimes and feel like someone is constantly kicking me in the crotch. I have off and on burning and itching, my tailbone kills me, and I get a sharp bruised feeling where I had my epidural when I move certain ways.
But she said everything looks good and I'm cleared to have sex again... yeah, right.
Re: 6 week PP check-up
hang in there, it WILL get better. about the pain at your epi site, just wanted to let you know that i had the same pain there for months. not trying to discourage you, just wanted you to know that it's normal, and that it does eventually go away.

Yes, rough delivery indeed. The doctor assures me everything will return to normal. She did say that I have hard scar tissue down there still, which is why I'm so tender.
We discussed having sex... she said, "You can have sex whenever you want now." I replied, "Oh, I want to, I'm just too sore!"
She is pregnant with her 2nd and last (which she said very quickly, LOL), and her first is only 13 months old.
After the appt, she said, "See you for #2, but that means you have to have sex first." LMAO.
