6 week PP check-up

Despite the power outage (from 2:30 am- noon today) from the storms, I was still able to take a shower... thanks to our gas hot water heater. Big Smile Can you imagine going to the OB without showering for 24 hours? Ick.

Everything is healing fine, despite the fact that I can still barely walk sometimes and feel like someone is constantly kicking me in the crotch. I have off and on burning and itching, my tailbone kills me, and I get a sharp bruised feeling where I had my epidural when I move certain ways.

But she said everything looks good and I'm cleared to have sex again... yeah, right.

  • Ooh, sounds like you're having such a hard time healing.  It sounded like you had a rough delivery, so I'm sure things will just take a while.  Hope you start feeling better soon!

  • hang in there, it WILL get better.  about the pain at your epi site, just wanted to let you know that i had the same pain there for months.  not trying to discourage you, just wanted you to know that it's normal, and that it does eventually go away.

    chin up :)

  • Yes, rough delivery indeed. The doctor assures me everything will return to normal. She did say that I have hard scar tissue down there still, which is why I'm so tender.

We discussed having sex... she said, "You can have sex whenever you want now." I replied, "Oh, I want to, I'm just too sore!" Wink

She is pregnant with her 2nd and last (which she said very quickly, LOL), and her first is only 13 months old.

After the appt, she said, "See you for #2, but that means you have to have sex first." LMAO.

  • I'm scared of getting cleared for sex. I like the medical excuse and don't want anything near there! I do hope you start feeling better soon.

  • may be little bit TMI but I had sex again and it was around my 6 weeks and I asked DH to treat me like it was my first time, and I still was so sore the next day - the kind that made me walk funny. DH thinks differently about this, might have given him an ego boost.... he just doesn't understand that the reason I am hurting is because I had a baby.
