Dr found the reason why I was bleeding at 31 weeks

I have an infection called bacterial vaginosis. She said she is certain that is what caused my bleeding, lower back ache and contractions. She put me on an antibiotic and I will see her again on Monday for my 32 week check. When I was in the hospital over the weekend I was a fingertip dilated and when she checked me yesterday she said I am the same, which means the contractions are not causing cervical change. So no bed rest, back to work today and just take it easy she said. Come Monday she will do a fetal fibronectin test. That can determine whether or not I could deliver within the next two weeks. If it comes back positive it doesn't mean that I necessaily WILL deliver, but it will let her know whether or not I should be placed on bed rest or not. If it's negative, then life as normal. I am still having mild contractions but they are not consistent or painful. Hopefully once the infection clears up then this will stop the irritability. She couldn't do the fetal test yet because the infection would have given her a false positive.

Anywho....that's my story. I am hanging in there for now. I am SO glad that I was given an answer as to why I was bleeding. Very scary!
