Who test out their trigger shot?

I just saw where people do this and now because I'm obsessing I thinking about doing it.  Anyone here test out their trigger shot?  How long does it usually take to go negative?

    I accidentally tested out my trigger shot...I didn't know it was HCG (dummy) so was surprised to see a positive so early.  I kept testing and eventually I didn't see two lines around 10 days after the shot.  I think most people who are pro-POAS do it, but others don't torture themselves with it.  Good Luck!!

    Yeah I figure it would be a little bit of torture but this whole process is torture!

    Here's a post that shows ladies getting their BFP and not testing out their trigger because it blends right into the BFP.  Yay, I hope this is it for you!! WARNING - they all have happy baby pictures in their siggy's.  Do not go here on a "bad" day!

    Typically by 7-9 DPO (ie post trigger) the HCG is out of your system from the shot.  Keep in mind though that everyone is different.  Some women never see the trigger others can see it up through 10-11 DPO.  My suggestion - if you are so curious is to start around 7dpo....stay away from those misleading blue dye preg tests.  I HATE them with a passion (got a false positive once)! 
    Trying to conceive #2 since May 2006. Started IVF in 2008; IVF #1 cancelled (poor responder); IVF #2 cancelled (poor responder); IVF #3 BFP (MC day 26); IVF #4 BFN; IVF #5 BFN; Vas Rev Jan 2010 - azoospermia to date; DS IUI October 2010 - BFN; IUI November - Cancelled --- BREAK from November to March (on DHEA)(FSH from 15 to 5)(AMH 0.1, no chamge) --- FINALLY --- DS IUI March (19th) - Beta 4-5 (16dpo) = BFP (205)!!!! --- Beta #2 4-7 (18dpo) = 477 BFP!!! --- 7-11-11 IT'S A BOY!!!!

    So I caved and tested.  I was 8dptrigger and it was negative.  I was very disappointed at first because most people were getting positives until 10dpo.  I did see though that it is very possible that it was already out of my system so that eased my mind a little again.  I will definitly not be testing again until 13dpiui.  And a sidenote I did use a blue dye test,  I never realized there was a problem with them but I've never cared for them for some reason either.

    Sorry it was negative, but you definitely shouldn't lose hope yet!  If it's already out of your system, still too early to pick up the baby.  I'm rooting for you!!

    Apparently blue dye tests are bad for giving false positives.  That's what I saw when i googled blue dye tests.  I just find them harder to read for some reason.  They always seem faint to me...even the control line a lot of times is faint but that was with the CVS brand so I'm not sure about others.
