No single mom friends
I'm new to this board, I just got divorced after less then a year of marriage! [just to explain the dreaded username i'm stuck with] Anyways, All my friends pretty much stopped talking to me once I had my son, so i made a couple mom friends in my area, but they all are with there fathers, so i still don't relate with them and i'm a little envious that there babies still have a dad. They try to understand but they can't because they always have someone there to get up in the middle of the night and that held there hand through labor etc etc.. I just want someone to understand how i feel, so i hope i can get that here.

I feel the same way. I have a very close group of girlfriends and I was the first to get pregnant. They were all there for me but it still would have been nice to have DD's father there with me. Now 4 of them are pregnant and getting married and all that and of course I can't help but be jealous. I am happy for them but I wish I knew what it was like.
All I can really say is our time will come! We shouldn't settle for anything less than what our LO's deserve. There is somebody out there for everyone and it's just taking us a little bit longer to find the right one.
I was lurking but I TOTALLY feel this way. I am only 20 so alot of my friends are still living the college life but my mom friends are married or with there SO and here me and DD are alone and its so frustrating. I just want my friends to understand how hard it is to work, go to school, and be mom to DD. I feel like I need to give her more attention since she doesnt have a dad to give her that attention.
I am hoping to meet some single moms who understand! Hopefully we find them!
