I can't do just 1 either, let me see, if I'm being honest about the best concert going experiences, these are the top 3:
1. Dave Matthews in Berlin, my friend's band was their opening act so we were back stage the whole time, excellent, excellent show and got to meet some of the band;
You all will probably laugh at me but my favorite band is Hanson. Yes mmbop! I finally saw them live a couple years ago, 10 years after I first fell in love with them. They are still my favorite band and seeing them live is awesome. I rather be in a small venue than a big one where they are so far away.
I will say Tim McGraw and Faith Hill put on an awesome show as well.
Aw hell...I can't do just one, I can't. Can I do top 2?
Sure!
Yay!
Okay, first is Leonard Cohen at Radio City. I have been listening to him since I was a child and he didn't play shows for a very long time. My parents were able to get tickets on Craigslist for an obscene price and it was worth every penny. I cried so hard at the end because I knew it was probably the only chance I would ever have to see him.
2nd-Manu Chao at BAM in Brooklyn. It was a hot summer night, with on and off thunderstorms, the music was electric, the beer was flowing, unforgettable.

Garth Brooks in 1996 was by far the best concert I've ever seen. I won't even try to describe it's awesomeness.
Other than that, I very much enjoy local bands and try to go to their shows to see what might be "up and coming".
I am SO jealous. My parents convinced me that moving halfway across the country would be worth it because they'd take me to see him. He retired later that year . Now FI is promising to take me to Vegas at some point. And I WILL see Garth Brooks if I have to sell my soul to do it.
As for the best concert I've been to... That's no contest. Brad Paisley this past November. The 1 other concert was Jason McCoy, and I don't remember it.

AEROSMITH ROCKED! CHICAGO 2010. Also - my husband pulled out a big diamond ring and asked me to marry him during "Bed of Roses" at the Bon Jovi concert in 2008 . Honorable mention - Def Leppard w/ Foreigner in 2007 at Summerfest in Milwaukee which is basically just a giant outdor music bash.
I saw Modest Mouse at a very small venue in Michigan back in 2002. That was probably the best show I have ever seen.
I've seen Ben Folds live 4 or 5 times and he always puts on an AWESOME show...
If anyone here had heard of Eric Hutchinson, I saw him a couple of years ago at a small theater on the other side of the state. DH and I drove 4 hours to get there and there were about 50 people there but it was such a fabulous show. I got to chat with him afterwards. I would LOVE to see him again!
TTC #1 for 4 years with every trick in the book.
IVF in October 2010= BFN Elliott Michael born 9/22/11
There's nothing quite like a drunken Jimmy Buffett concert -- I've seen him three times and had a blast each time!
Aerosmith was pretty amazing, too.
Back in '99, I saw Tim McGraw...he's not the greatest performer, but he had Dixie Chicks touring with him, and they're amazing. The opening act was Rascal Flatts -- they had *just* hit their first single, and for being relatively unknown at the time, they put on a helluva show.
I totally forgot about Sonic Boom last summer. I only went to see Weezer. They were pretty awesome. But I still gotta say, Brad Paisley was better. He was with Darius Rucker. It was great

I saw Modest Mouse in 2000! I feel old. Wish they still were as good. Saw Ben Fold in NYC. He is great isn't he!!!
Hands down No Doubt with Blink 182 in 2004. AMAZING!!
You know that girl that you see at concerts that is hysterically crying and freaking out? Yeah? That was me. I was about 16 inches from Gwen Stefani's shoe during "Sunday Morning". I didn't know I was that girl, but I sure became her! Crazy good!
There are so many musicians that I would love to see. I think Tom Petty is at the top of my list at the moment.
What about you?
As soon as I saw the title of this, I thought, hands down Tom Petty. How funny when I opened the thread you said the same thing! Hes been my favorite forever!
Second favorite, Weezer headlined for Blink 182 and they were both amazing!

Stevie Wonder was everything you'd imagine....WONDERFUL!!!!
I agree about Muse. Saw them back in 2003. The only time I was ever in a mosh pit. What a blast!
Ray LaMontagne in 2004. There were about 50 people in the room. It was so good, I cried.
Citizen Cope. Amazing!
All that being said...I will NEVER be as excited to see a concert as I was back in 1990. NEW KIDS!!! Certainly not the best music/show but man, I loved them!
TOOL!!!!!!! It was subliminal. I've never seen everyone in the crowd know every word to every song and felt every musical note played and every melody sung. It was pure perfection
NIN and metallica come in close 2nd. But Tool was just amazing.

OMG - so funny! They were AMAZING live. so badda**.

Elliott Michael born 9/22/11
Bon Jovi and Kid Rick this past summer at Gillette Stadium.
Worst concert I would have to say was Jay-Z. Very boring.
Well, up until last year, I would have said DMB at the Gorge in George, WA.
However, DH and I saw Muse at Key Arena last April, and it basically melted our faces off.
Seriously, best concert I've ever been to.
BFP 1/22/12 | Ectopic pregnancy found 2/14/12 | Methotrexate to complete m/c 2/15/12
Rob Zombie has an awesome show, though, his performance wasn't the greatest beyond the popular songs.
I saw him the last time SC allowed him to play a concert in the state.
Some of my favourite concerts:
Flogging Molly -> always amazing.
Kings of Leon -> front row pit.
Silverchair
Tori Amos
Social Distortion
I've been to a lot of good shows but my favorites have to be DMB, John Mayer and Third Eye Blind. Also Gwen Stefani was ah-mazing!
Fiona Apple at this really small venue.
Sarah Mclachlan at Madison Square Garden. Even though it's a huge venue people would be so quiet and her voice was just perfect.
Justin Timberlake
No Doubt, Hella Good tour.
Culture Club
Sorry, couldn't pick just one.
Violent Femmes, about 10 years ago at the Beacon Theater.
The most fun, and best contact high I've ever had!
I have a few and they were all amazing for very different reasons.
1 - TOOL - just wow from the music factor and energy
2 - Prince - he is such an amazing performer
3 - Cher - she knows how to put on a show! It really was like a circus.
3 - George Clinton & the P Funk Allstars - it's George Clinton
My biggest letdowns - The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and NIN
I wish I could have seen them in their day.
I saw Modest Mouse in 2000! I feel old. Wish they still were as good. Saw Ben Fold in NYC. He is great isn't he!!!
Hands down No Doubt with Blink 182 in 2004. AMAZING!!

Carrie Underwood
Kenny Chesney
Rascal Flatts and Darius Rucker --- Darius was wayyyyy better than Rascal Flatts. I LOVEEEE him.
Jason Aldean.
I am also seeing Keith Urban this summer and have heard he puts on a great show
Savage Garden! They have a special place in my heart.
Any of the 8 Linkin Park concerts I've been too, but probably the one with them, Staind, and STP.
NIN in Vegas.

Arcade Fire at a small venue here in SF
Reel Big Fish in London- so much fun, with the greatest people!
White Stripes at the Greek
As soon as I saw the title of this, I thought, hands down Tom Petty. How funny when I opened the thread you said the same thing! Hes been my favorite forever!
Second favorite, Weezer headlined for Blink 182 and they were both amazing!
I second that! I also really enjoy Kenny Chesney - he's a great performer. We see him once a year and it's always a fun tailgate!
I can't pick just one! I love concerts...here are my rankings, but they're so close together because all of these were amazing:
1. Billy Joel & Elton John
2. Bruce Springsteen
3. U2
4. Tom Petty (Buddy Guy also opened that night - so fun)
5. Aerosmith
6. Keith Urban
This is fun!!!
