I made the cilantro rice...

OMG, yum!  I will never have to go to Chipotle again!

Here is a question or two though....

--can I freeze the rice?  DS and I are the only ones who eat it?  If so what do I do to it?

--can I freeze canned beans too?  Again DS & I are the only ones to eat them and there is a lot left over for next time.  What do I do with them?

  • Right? I just posed on facebook last night that I will never need to go to Chipotle again. Oh... coupled with the beans (did you make the skinny taste beans?) and the garlic lime chicken... nom nom nom!!!

  • We had it tonight too - with the Garlic Lime Pork Chops.  We loved it!  No idea on the freezing though, sorry!
  • I've never tried to freeze rice. You could halve the recipe next time if the recipe is too much.

  • The key to freezing rice is to do so when it isn't all cold and dried out so I usually put warmish rice into a ziploc bag, squeeze out the air and seal.  Then I let it cool and freeze it.
