Pearly, you crack me up. I was suppose to make rissotto for SO. He is leaving tomorrow morning for 2 weeks and it was his "last dinner" request. He is going to be out in the dessert in Texas doing combat care training and will be eating those prepared meals all week. I completely lost interest in making dinner so he picked up wendys for us. I failed.
goulashsuppe mit bohemian knodles. it is a huge hit in our home.
Is this English? LOL what is it?
LOL I mix my languages sorry about that. Goulash...I think that is in every country in one form or another. Yes, I am American but I have been fortunate enough to be stationed overseas in Germany for the past three years.
about 500g of stew beef simmered in crock pot with the following seasonings: onion powder garlic powder cayenne pepper flour to thicken slightly paprika sea salt a little sugar ground black pepper water depending on the size of the crock pot and amount you are making (we only cook for 3)
simmer for about 4 hours on low, then add tomato, various colored peppers, thin sliced onion, diced carrot and peas.
Serve over steamed kn?dels.
I am not sure where you can find the kn?dels stateside, perhaps a german grocery, the kind we prefer with this is a bread type dumpling I first found in czech and have come to adore. it actually resembles a small loaf of bread, found in the refrigerated aisle. If you are military, you may be able to find them in the commissary or special order them.
