Please, please please spell it Jackson, you can still use Jax as a nn, if you like it, but it will look so much better and less like a dogs name if you spell it correctly.
Also Jackson is popular, being uneek with the spelling does not make the name unique and you more of a follower then you think (especially since 1000 people came up with this uneek spelling before you).

I knew this thread would be entertaining. What PP said. Spell it right or don't use it.

"And can it be that in a world so full and busy, the loss of one weak creature makes a void in any heart, so wide and deep that nothing but the width and depth of vast eternity can fill it up." - Charles Dickens
the name Jackson is very nice- but I really, really dislike the spelling "Jaxson." It just doesn't look right. Middle names I like for the name Jackson:
Jackson Patrick
Jackson Michael
Jackson Reid
Jackson Gray

Putting aside the fact that I dislike the name Jackson, spelled correctly or not, I think the repetition of the -on endings is annoying. I think you should keep looking.
Why would you do that? No, really, I'm curious- what is it about the spelling of that name that appeals to you? I have an acquaintance who used that recently and I'd caution you that if you do, people are going to talk smack behind your back. There's been a whole lot of "wtf was she thinking?" talk about the acquaintance's choice of spelling.
Jackson is overused but whatever, if you like it, use it. I just don't understand why you'd purposely make a mess of the name by going the 'xs' route.

It's already been said countless times, on this post and all the others before it, that the spelling Jaxson is just awful. I wouldn't expect much support on that one here...
Jackson is very popular with the 10 & under crowd here so I'm seeing more Jaxson's. Would you really pronounce his nickname "Jack-S"? Use Jackson if you must, but spelling is key to the quality level of this name. Then he can at least be a "Jack". Jax seems feminine to me. Hmmm... now I'm reminded of Dax Shepherd.

Terrible, misspelled, confusing, and trendy when spelled Jaxson.
Changing the spelling doesn't make it more unique. It still sounds the same ? just makes the parents look illiterate in the process.
Jackson is nice, but popular.
I like Ethan and Thatcher (love!) from you past posts a lot more.
I personally love it, it is DS name, and I chose the spelling because "at the time" it was not very popular around here and becuase my name is different I did not want my child to have the same name as all the other children, not because I am illiterate and cannot spell but I do not care for the boring ol' Jackson spelling!! However it is much more popular now days and I am trying to steer clear this time around with names that are going to explode in popularity .
But IMO, if you like it, that's really all that matters.
That spelling is really, really bad. Jackson is annoying to me since it is so overused but this spelling makes me cringe.
Write it on a few future professional documents your adult son would have to fill out and see how ridiculous it looks. It seems like a name for a bartender or tattoo artist. I personally could never take it serious.

Add me to the haters of the atrocious spelling. If you like the name, spell it properly. Otherwise, little Jaxson is going to envy his brother's normal, legitimately spelled name GUARANTEED.
The only way I can make sense of this name linguistically is if your dh's name is Jax? Then the name would be equivalent to "son of Jax." I tend not to be fans of "son" names or surnames unless they make sense for the family. Also, I know I am the minority here but the name Jackson reminds me of the general (Stonewall) or the president (Andrew).
I don't understand this spelling. The x already takes care of the sound you need if you're trying to replace the "ks" in Jackson. Why do you need the s after the x? A lot of tryndee spellings make the parents look illiterate, but IMO this one really does because it doesn't make phonological sense.

I actually plan on the use of that name for my boy. I don't particularly care for the spelling with the "s". We have chosen to spell his name: Nolan Jaxon?
I know I'm one of the few but I think Jaxson (nn Jax) is adorable. However I would personally go with the spelling Jackson or Jaxon. Also the 'on' sound may be a little repetitive...Landon and Jaxson.

It's awful. Just awful. Look around on this board. There are many, many threads about this name and it is always seen as a horrible choice.

I like the name Jackson, but hate they way you have spelled it.
I also like Jack, and would probably go better with Landon.
I actually like the name JACKSON, as my 7 year old is named that - and I might add, he's the only Jackson in his class or among his friends.
I dislike the other spellings though.
I always find myself trying to pronounce the S twice. Jacks-son.
I think Jackson, nn Jax is a great option. Good luck deciding!

I like Ethan as well, from your pp.
yup...this
This. I've mentioned before that I know one IRL. He was named (I think) after his uncle JASON.... it's still terrible.
I know a girl who named her son Jaxson.
I feel bad for that child.
