I heard on the radio today that we had 26 days of rain in March and it's rained 11 days straight.
How are you and your family dealing with all this craptastic weather? If it doesn't improve soon I'm going to bankrupt our family with all my retail therapy!
Re: Weather
more fun WEather info (From Komo News)
Even with the bar set low for early spring weather in Western Washington, we have a number of weather "streaks" that show just how cool, cloudy, and wet we have been recently -- even more so than normal.
Consider this: As of this afternoon, it will have been 39 days since Seattle officially had a sunny day ("sunny" = 70%+ sunshine from sunrise to sunset).
Also consider this: As of this afternoon, we will have failed to reach 50 degrees in April for the 5th straight day. That hasn't happened since 1955 (the last time La Nina was this strong).
Finally, consider this: Fresh off of the 6th wettest March since records started at SeaTac, we've already had 70% of our normal April rainfall in the first four days of the month.
Bottom line, this weather is far from normal. But it's not done yet.
Hasn't affected me much yet - but I've been working indoors for the last several weekends and my office doesn't have a view of outdoors - I get to work early and don't leave until late - so I don't "see" much of the weather...
Does this mean we are going to have a craptastic summer like last year? Gosh I hope not, I will go nuts with 2 kids!
I'm going to bankrupt the family as well... We are going to head to north bend today and ride the rides while I shop!
This. I'm not one to complain about the weather, but I've definitely had enough.
We take daily walks, even when it rains (unless of course it's downpouring), and get out to see friends as much as we can. We're pinching our pennies as well, but I find at least getting out of the house to run errands helps. Of course, I don't have a mobile child yet, so he doesn't really know the difference.
