Last week I discovered that our neighborhood grocery store makes killer red velvet cupcakes. After a hard day at work yesterday I stopped to pick one up for dessert but forgot about it...I know ::gasp:: So I'm enjoying it for breakfast this am...YUM.

Oooh yum! Happy Breakfast!
I tried making red velvet once- I can typically bake, but it was a disaster, lol.
I'm not an expert in the red velvet area but I am a frosting snob...I hate the overly sugary sweet kind that overpowers the whole dessert. This was light and added just the right amount of flavor to the overall cupcake. The red velvet itself was moist and oooh so tasty. I'm now thinking I might have to stop for another on my way home...
