Has your second pregnancy been completely different from your first? I have contractions for like 5 hours, they start getting closer together and then stop completely. This on top of not sleeping is making me nuts! Just want to see what everyone else has experienced. With DD I had some braxton hicks but when I went into labor I just started contracting and they got stronger and closer as the day went on, went to the hospital, got the magic drugs, and poof she was here.
Re: 2nd timers?
This pregnancy has been a complete 180. With ds#1 I had minimal morning sickness, felt great, everything was great until that last week or so before I was induced (back pain issues). I never felt a contraction or bh until I was in the hospital.
This time around I had AWFUl m/s, have been so run down, feel like crap and the bh contractions are just evil.
Same for me too! Thanks for sharing, I know this has to end soon but I wish it could happen, like today : ) Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well and flies by!
My m/s was the same, but I'm having a much easier pregnancy this time than last. Yes, I'm more tired because of caring for my toddler, but I was in OB triage 3x by this point in my pregnancy last time with PTL.
Thanks - same to you!
I've had a lot more contractions this time compared to with DS. Not only are there more contractions, but they are more intense. The only good side of it is that they are working- the check up yesterday revealed I've made it to 3cm and 50% effaced.
I would like the magic drugs now....
My first pregnancy wasn't a walk in the park. I had horrible m/s for most of it and I gained 50 lbs.
This time around it's even worse. I've had horrible m/s the entire time, I've gained 50 lbs again, but this time I also can't sleep, I have horrible aches & pains and I have killer pressure that makes me walk really slow and awkward.
Can't imagine what another pregnancy will be like!
Most deffinatly! When I was pregnant with DS I had no morning sickness and this time it was intense and lasted for 4 months. My DH actually asked "why is it you puke like you don't know your about to?" Um because I don't, the feeling hit suddenly and there was no holding it back!
I dont recall feeling BH when I was pregnant with DS and this time I've experienced several occurances.
I also hope that this pregnancy is different in the area of how it ended. With DS I developed severe Pre-E and HELLP Syndrome and he was delivered by emergency c-section at 34 weeks. I hope that my BP stays normal and I don't get extremly sick this time because it was very scary, especially since I had no clue I was that sick I had been feeling fine. I'd also love a full term baby!
