So yesterday I got a ton of EWCM out of nowhere.  I decided to check my cervical position and it seemed very open.  I am guessing this is just because I gave birth vaginally, right?  It never seemed that open when we were TTC even when I was ovulating.  Anyhoo I had ovulation pains on and off last night and I am freaking out.  I EBF and with my first, I didn't get my first PP period until I weaned DD at 18  months!  I really was hoping for the same luck this time around because we do not want another baby for at least 3 more years (3 in daycare is NOT doable!)  I am embarrassed to say we haven't had sex yet (between the baby and a very high demand 2.5 year old, it just hasn't happened :(  so I am not worried about being pregnant now, but I got to get my plan together because I really do not like taking hormonal birth control. Anyhoo, I am panicking and am going to start charting/temping to avoid today.  Have any of you had these fertility signs yet?  Did it lead to your first period?

    Your body can gear up to ovulate several times without actually ovulating or your period to return. Ive heard thats pretty common PP. At my BFing class they said you have to feed every two hours for it to be sucessful BC. I would use back up when you and yoir husband do start having sex again, but hopefully its not the return of AF yet!

    I had lots of EWCM before I got my first PP AF, but never checked my CP (wow, that's a lot of bump-isms!). Like, a week of EWCM. It was ridiculous! I did end up starting BCPs shortly after that- we're not ready for more babies yet either!

    Thanks girls.  I guess I am just thrown off because when I was EBF my first DD, I had ZERO signs of any fertility.  We even TRIED to get pregnant once Charleigh turned about 7 months old and ended up trying to no avail for almost a year because I was not ovulating and never had a cycle.  It just seems strange to me that at 2 months PP when I am still EBF I would get any type of fertility signs especially considering my past experience ya know?  I guess every baby/pregnancy/PP is different!

    I got my period 5 wks pp last time. I stopped pumping on Friday and on moonday got my period back. I didn't have any fertility signs. I'm going on the mini pill and once Lucas starts sttn I'll be charting to avoid.

    I also think I may have ovulated. And I'm not sure about AF yet but I did have big gushes of blood at 7 weeks pp, 8 weeks pp and 9 weeks pp. My OB instructed me to back off on the activity level and see what happens. I guess if I have more bleeding in the next few weeks I can assume it is AF.

    I didn't have a period for a while with my first 2 babies so I will be so sad if AF has already returned. I am EBF and still nursing thru the night so I am so hoping it stays away!
