clotting disorder???

in TTC After a Loss
So I just got a phone call from my RE. She called to check up from my procedure today and then informed my that one of my labs came back abnormal. She said that my clotting factor is slightly off and she wants to refer me to a hematologist. Has this happened to anyone? What's next? I assume lots of labs? Does mc relate to hematology issues? Sorry for the questions. What bites is we don't have an appt with my RE for 3 weeks and she said we will discuss it more in depth then. Waiting.... Thank you all for your support. Smile

    She said we would talk about it at our next appt. I go to work on Friday so I can look up my own chart at work. I work at the hospital that this outpatient facility is partnered with.

    Well I have 2 copies of MTHFR which is a clotting disorder However my homocysteine level was not elevated at the time so they do not believe this is the reason for my losses. Clotting disorders though sometimes can cause miscarriages.  I am curious which one yours came back with

    I don't know much about a clotting disorder but after my mc I became anemic.... Would that have anything to do with it by chance?
    (USE TO BE, WISH2BEMOMMY). 1st BFP ever Aug. 16, 2010.... 1st OB appt. Sept. 8, 2010, u/s showed poss. blighted ovum.... b/w 9/8/10 22,698 b/w 9/10/10 14,521.... mmc confirmed, started naturally m/c 9/15/10, d & c 9/16/10 I love you my precious monkey!! 2nd BFP March 2011.... c/p, miss you lil one!! 3rd BFP Nov. 20, 2011, subcornial hemorrhage detected 11/24/11 heartbeat found.... LO's heartbeat lost 11/25/11.... d & c 11/26/11..... I love and miss you so much baby!!!! C/P 4/26/12.... gone before I knew you.... off BCP 10-1-13.. BFP 11-20-13.. SCH for 7 weeks.. 3-4-14: It's a Girl!.. 4-22-12 emergency cerclage placed..7-7-14 cerclage removed at 36w.. delivered Lillian Marie 7-28-14..

    Ditto to this.  I was always borderline anemic but after the miscarriage, my levels were abnormal.  I've been on an additional iron supplement since January.

    This.  You definitely have the right to know.  And you should be able to ask questions as well.  Plus, it could help you to have this info when you see the hematologist.  ((Big HUGS)).  Keep us updated.

    I have no experience with this - I just wanted to say I would press for some more info. 3 weeks is a long time to wait. Hopefully this is an easy fix and maybe it explains your loss??? Keep us posted
