Welcome to this week's Chicago Bump Check-in!
If you want to be added to the check-in, please respond to this post and let me know what brings you to the bump (Do you have a DC? DD or DS? Date of DC's birthday? Are you pregnant (how far along) or TTC?), whether you live in the city or burbs (give me a direction: N, NW, W, SW, S).
Also, pregnant ladies: keep me updated if you move from team green to pink or blue! And let us know when your LOs arrive! We have a due date that passed and some coming up soon!
And finally, some shout outs, hugs, etc.:

QOTW:
Do you (or dh, bf, etc) have a favorite tradition from when you were growing up, that you want to pass down to your lo? Are there any traditions you hope to start?
Also, I've got a few things coming up the next couple of weeks, is there a volunteer to take over for 2 weeks for me?
Re: :: Chicago Weekly Check-In ::
As an Easter tradition, my DH's family plays this game they call "Peg the Egg". Basically each family member takes their favorite dyed Easter egg, and you play against an opponent. Each person takes the small or large end of the egg and you "peg" (hit each other's egg end to end but not too hard!) your opponent's egg. Only one egg will crack. The winners then move on to the second round, and so on and so on until there's a winning egg which hasn't cracked on either end. It's kind of a fun, little tradition that kids can have fun with. DS was too young to play last year, but we're going to try it this year
The only tradition we had was everyone sat down for dinner at the table. I hope to keep this one going plus many more!
My mom's side of the family always goes camping and boating Labor Day weekend in Indiana (where most of them live). We are already at more than 30 people and I'm looking forward to us growing even more and teaching our little one all the traditions we have.
I sure hope everyone will consider joining us for the suburb get together. Let me know if you can attend. All are welcome!

My husband and I started a tradition to go blueberry picking for my birthday since it's the height of blueberry season and they are by far my favorite fruit (I used to go apple and strawberry picking every year with my grandparents but then the apple orchard by our house closed and I missed picking fruit since my early childhood)...I'm already trying to figure out how we can take the little guy to MI for picking this year (he's due two weeks before my birthday) :op
We don't have any great traditions yet, but I've been tradition shopping!
DH and I want to come up with a few funny routines for Christmas and Easter once DS is a little older. (Like chewing up carrots and spitting them out in the front yard and saying that it's probably Dasher, because Dasher hates carrots! Gross, I know, but funny!)
