I was so nervous about Kayden's 2 month check up this morning. The nurse took her weight and she was 8 lbs. 10oz. (up from 4.27 at birth). Her height was 21 inches (17 at birth). The nurse said that she didn't even look like a preemie, which was music to our ears! In the back of my mind I'm always thinking "actual vs. adjusted...Is she ready vs. should we wait," etc. She was on the charts for weight, height, and head size. We were asked about some of her milestone and we are still waiting on smiling and cooing. The dr. said to give her a month. Overall, we are so proud of Kayden and how perfect she is... I feel like the luckiest mom ever to be blessed with such a sweet girl.
After the shots/ vaccinations she was a bit fussy and has napped a bit longer. Surprisingly, I didn't cry during the appointment. DH kept me distracted during the shots. Her next appointment will be at 4 months. We are so happy for each blessing. Later this month Kayden will have her physical therapy screening, so we are keeping our fingers crossed (and hope that the good checkups continue). Thanks for reading.
Re: 2 Month Dr. Appointment
Great job growing, Kayden! Keep it up, girl!
Shots are never easy for anyone. GL with the PT screening - we never had one and sometimes I wish we had. She's catching up now, but I wish I would have pushed for it when she was younger. I guess I just like knowing exactly what's going on.
Anyway, great job mama and baby!
