I have a very painful roid and adding that on top of everything else, I am having a breakdown. DH is doing as much as he can to help, but he can't help with the pain, the contractions, my inability to handle Oisin when he is at work. I was doing OK until yesterday when the roid got bad.
These are my options. I can do nothing about it and ask my OB for some more percoset to help manage the pain. I can get the clot removed, which is highly painful for the first day and then difficult for the next few. There are several issue there. MIL flies in Thursday night and Oisin and I have to pick her up. We have to ddrive to the airport during rush hour, which will be awful. Also, I probably cannot get this done until tomorrow, so I'm thinking that is out. The other option would be to do it Friday and then she can help with Oisin while I recover.
Here's the thing. Given my current state, I am 99% sure we will schedule an induction for Monday. I am close to breaking and DH and I had agreed that if things get bad with me, we will induce when safe for the baby. Monday will be 40 weeks, so I am OK with it.
But do I get the roid fixed only to get more when I push? Is it even a good idea at this point? I am going to ask my OB tomorrow, but I am very torn. I don't want to spend my last week with Oisin as my only child in bed, crying popping percoset to be able to walk to the bathroom. I also don't want to do more damage to that area than necessary before labor.
Sigh. I don't even really have a point here.
Re: I'm having a hard time (sort of long)
I don't really have any advice, but I know how painful that can be and that sounds horrible. I really hope that things get better.
(((hugs)))

Do you know anyone (maybe a teenager or college student) who could act as a mother's helper the next 2 days? Maybe they could ride with you or pick your MIL up, help do anything more strenuous with O, etc. Maybe you don't know anyone who could fit that bill, but it's worth a shot.
Either way, I'd get it fixed ASAP. I can't imagine that pain, plus 40 weeks, plus a toddler. I hope you get some relief!
