how do you personally know? Our LO used to suck on his hands all the time and do the tongue thrust thing when he was younger, but since month three or so it has been harder to tell. Especially since he s teething now. I would usually just go off of the time of day and when he last ate 0_o
Since i was just informed i can give my baby solids (up to 3 times a day) till he s technically full , i feel kind of paranoid of overfeeding him . he s a big boy (26 or so inches and 17/18 lbs) . He usually drinks approx 34 oz of formula and only 1 feeding of solids at night. (I think im rambling so i hope this makes sense)
I would usually ask my Pedi but since going back to the hospital on base, i dont have a number i can call just to ask these questions. I thought i could get some help here
Re: knowing when baby is hungry
Babies can't over stuff themselves. They stop when they are full. I know what you mean about a hunger cry versus a different cry... My LO is the same way you describe... I kinda go by the last time he ate and if he fusses for a while.
As for solids, I feed DS twice a day about an hour before he nurses. When he pulls away, he's done with the food.
