Baby/ Kids furniture stores
Hi Everyone
So where did you buy furniture for the nursery? DH and I are just starting to look into this now.... So far I have come up with BRU, ikea and Pottery Barn Kids... any other recommendations? Are there any little gems in Houston anywhere we should check out?
Im not sure how much we want to spend at the moment, so we are open to cheaper and expensive ideas! I like the look of some of the stuff in the Land of Nod, but would ideally like to see before we buy!! And since there isnt one in Houston.... plus it looks to be more on the expensive end, and we havent decided on how much to spend yet!

We got ours at Baby's 1st Furniture (Galleria location). There are three locations (Sugarland, Galleria and somewhere up north on 45). We also checked out USA Baby but found their "sale" prices for what we liked to be the everyday price at Baby's 1st so we waited until Baby's 1st had a sale (July and November I think).
Ditto Baby's 1st, except we bought ours at the Sugar Land location. We were in the Galleria location not too long ago and there is more furniture on display at the one on 45 and in Sugar Land, but you can get a good idea of the type/quality they sell at the Galleria store. They do have a lot more of the higher end strollers and things on display at the Galleria though.
Overall, we were really happy with our experience and we LOVE the furniture we bought.
Also got ours from Baby's 1st on Richmond. They do have more furniture than the one in Sugar Land, and they are also open Sunday where as the Sugar Land location was not. They also have an amazing stroller department. The staff is super informed are can really explain the whatnot of all the different strollers.
Random side note, they also have mattresses. After we purchased our furniture (crib included) they showed us some mattresses and we got one. Not that the one we got was bad in any way, just looking back, I think we could have gotten the same type mattress for less somewhere else.
BRU's furniture looked cheap to me when we looked there..
We got ours also from Babys & Kids in the galleria and love it! I think it took about 6 weeks for the dresser to come in, the crib they had in stock. Delivery charges were semi painful ( 100$ for both), + we paid to have them set up the crib as well so that was extra.
About the mattresses-- Amazon sells the same one they recommend for much cheaper. It was either there or diapers.com -- can't remember where I Got it from, but I do remember I saved at least 75$ on it.
JCP. You can't look at it but some of the beds are sold in other stores.
