Just to clear things up, if you're part of the group, people who aren't your friends can't see your information, just as long as you have your profile info private. You aren't automatically friends with everyone and their mom if you join the group.

    But my family and friends on FB would know I was there, huh?  This is what keeps me with one foot in the lurker world.  I really would like to be more involved here, but I don't want my IRL peeps to know about BOTB because I vent here and it feels safe from them.  Oh well.
