I am just over 37 weeks and already 3 cm dilated... I have been on bedrest for over 6 weeks due to high blood pressure. My doctor said he still can't ethiically induce me this early if my BP was still being controlled with meds and bedrest (which it is).. He did offer to strip my membranes, though. I am hoping to go into labor by the end of the week.
If you had this done, how far along were you, how dilated were you already and if you went into labor, how long did it take?
Thanks!
Re: Did membrane stripping work for you?
I didn't but my SIL did at around 38 wks maybe---she was already I think 2 cm dialated....she ended up going a week past due and they induced her---failed and ended up with a c/s. I wonder though if it has anything to do with how many times you get it done or how the procedure is done, etc.
I wish you luck!!!
