I am near Seattle. I am looking for a good Dr. who deals with Endometriosis. I have already had 1 surgery and it looks like I am going to need another one.
Unfortunately, I don't have any recs for you. I was wondering, though, if your RE can give you a suggestion. Since I can see in your siggy that you are going through IF (I'm sorry to see that, but I can identify), perhaps your current RE could give you a recommendation?
GL and I hope you find someone!

I'm no help either, but I wanted to say that I hope you're able to find a good doctor so you don't have to go through anymore surgeries. I have a friend who had to have a hysterectomy a few years ago (she was also late 30's), she was basically bleeding all the time and my OB-GYN was the one who did the surgery. Not sure if that's the surgery you're talking about or not. Let me know if it is and if you need to know his name.
I liked her and her manner, but didn't like her treatment options (she saw lupron as the only course of action after the lap confirmed), so I moved on. After that I saw a natropath and used progesterone cream to help regulate and temper down my cycles. It wasn't perfect but I got to "mostly tollerable" with that and prescription anti-imflammatories.
I always felt if I had to have another surgery I would probably seek out this dr in Oregon. https://www.endometriosissurgeon.com/ From my research he seems to have much more success than normal laps with a gyn.
(I haven't looked into the latest developments in the last few years since I've been managing and got pregnant (via IUI with accupunture) but I wanted to share what I knew.)
I have a friend who had a lot of luck with diet changes and acupuncture. You might consider a naturopath as a first option before having to have surgery again.
I know RE's do surgery for endometriosis though. I really liked Dr. Kevin Johnson at Overlake Repro Medicine. He has a really great bedside manner too. He did my surgery to remove a polyp. I know loads of people love the doctors up at Evergreen too - NW Repoductive Med? I know one of hte docs is named Opsahl. From the reviews I've seen here, I'd probably go there for general fertility stuff over Overlake... but like I said, if you can see Dr. Johnson for surgery, he is fantastic. I just didn't care for the rest of the staff so much - although I'm sure tehre are new people by now.
I just had surgery to remove endo last Friday. My RE from SRM did the work. I cannot say for certain that I am having a good outcome, but my Dr. seemed pleased with how it went. He said I had stage II. My understanding is that most of my implants/ashesions were removed, though he may have left a small one on my ovary alone since that can hurt the ovarian reserve if it is removed aggressively.
SRM bills to my insurance for this procedure. It is covered since it is not strictly for IF (I have absolutely no IF coverage in my insurance).

I had this dr perform a lap for endometriosis about 10 years ago - https://www.seaobgyn.com/hutchison.html

Good luck - I know it sucks.
