Morning ladies!
I'm feeling alright, some mild discomfort and slow moving. I'll be taking lots of naps today

)
I just wanted to give a brief report of the lap for those interested (full update in blog).
The good: The surgery went well and my tubes are intact. Turns out I did not have a
hydrosalpinx. Nor did I have scar tissue or
endometriosis. So that's great news.
The bad: My tubes are a bit misshapen. They are thin in parts. I'm not sure if that means the walls themselves are thin or if the tubes are narrow (I'll find out when I talk to the Dr. later today). Either way, the shape of the tubes caused them to appear as possibly
hydros during the
HSG.
Back to the good: The Dr. has said that he has seen plenty of women with tubes like mine get pregnant.
The ugly: There is nothing that can be done to repair the misshapen tubes. Mainly, I had the surgery to look around - nothing was really done to improve anything.
I'm not quite sure how to feel about it. I'm thrilled that I still have my tubes and didn't have
hydros or scar tissue, but I kind of feel like it was a little pointless since nothing can be done to change the shape of my tubes. I had waited six weeks to have this and had prepared myself for the worst (including having the tubes removed and
endo) - obviously, this was probably the best outcome that could have come out of the lap.
What can you do though, right?
We'll be onto IUI (hopefully soon) the Dr. will just need to finalize a plan. He said he'd have it by the post op 11/20, but I'm really hoping we can start sooner. At the very least, I'll be calling the office next week to see when we can start Provera - since it takes me 2 weeks for Provera to work, I'd like to be at the very least expecting AF at the post op.

I was thinking about you yesterday and wondering how you did.
that news overall sounds good. Yeah, you waited all that time for nothing to be done - except you got any lingering questions/worries cleared up. Now you know for sure what is up in there.
I hope you get your provera soon.

Sounds like great news. ?I think the best part of having the LAP is knowing exactly what you're dealing with so you can make the best decisions possible regarding your treatment plan. ?
Hope you're feeling better soon
