Intro and a question

I have been posting on TB for a little over a year and had never ventured over to the local boards. Just wanted to say hi! I have an almost 20 month old daughter and another LO is on the way! I switched OB practices in the summer before TTC and would like some input from you, if possible.

A close friend recommended Dr. De La Garza at Seven Oaks to me. She has only used her for gyn services. I saw her NP this summer and had a great experience. I went in to the office and met Dr. De La Garza 3 weeks ago for my first prenatal visit. It seemed to go well, but I would like to know what kind of experience other people have had with her and her partners.

I did not ask about c-section rates, vacuum/forceps delivery rates or episiotomy rates at my first visit. I did not want to seem confrontational. These are all important questions that I want to ask. I just don't want it to be awkward. Anyone have anything that they can share with me? TIA!

I see Dr. Heck at Seven Oaks and unfortunantly I can only give you an opinion for gyn services as well (I am still TTC). That being said, I really, really like her. I switched from another gyn in town who wasn't willing to go with some of my wishes for conception/pregnancy. Dr. Heck has been super supportive and positive all the way through my TTC journey. She even called the fertility clinic she was referring me to herself while I was still in the exam room with her. I have had nothing but good experiences with Seven Oaks overall so far. Hope that helps!

Thank you so much for your reply. I went in for my second visit yesterday, but Dr. De La Garza was in surgery. I saw her NP (who I'd seen for a yearly in the summer) and the visit went well. I wasn't given any info on c-section rates. I'll ask again at the next visit. I wish you the best of luck as you TTC!
