WWYD: NICU Thief (Blanket, not Baby)

Someone stole one of Kevin's blankets from the NICU.  Who is such a low, scumbag of a human being that they are going to steal from a baby in the NICU?  Ugh. 

Now I'm torn about ordering a replacement.  It's only $25 so I guess I should buy another and just keep it at home.  It was the first blanket I bought Kevin so while I can replace it but it's just not the same.

    :( Is there any chance it got accidentally thrown in the NICU laundry? That happened to us once with an outfit we owned and his nurse found it for us!

    That happened to us with ALL of DD's clothes (probably like 4-5 outfits!), despite having our names on them, and they were never found :( I hope you get it back!

    While I can't 100% rule it out, and I have asked the nurses to keep an eye out for it, they all have been so careful with his things and they know his outfits and blankets so I really think it was stolen.  The weight scale used for weighing diapers was also stolen recently and the last time I remember seeing the blanket was around that time.

    Im having this same problem. All of Teagens little sleepers were taken too. I've asked all her nurses to keep an eye out for them, they even have her name on them so im extremely frustrated and as much as I want her to have her nice soft clothes and blankets I dont want them getting lost or stolen.

    Someone stole some stuff of ours from the NICU once, too.  There was a special room for parents and family members to wait.  It had a tv, comfy chairs.  We had brought a bunch of board games because we were spending HOURS at the hospital and it helped to take a break and play a game when our parents came to visit (not that any of us really focused on the game, but it gave us something to do).  We went to grab dinner and when we came back someone had stolen all the games.  Fortunately they left our 'Visitor's Log' in which visitors had written messages and notes to our son.  But still.  What scumbags.  It is a room only used for NICU visitors, too.  So frustrating.  I hope you somehow get your blanket back!
