I'm on CD 28, period is due today. Average cycle length 27, max 28. I usually have very light spotting 1-2 days before CD1. No spotting yet so far.
Do I really have to POAS first thing in the morning? Or can I wait until the evening? I can't really imagine, finding out that I might be pregnant and then going to work and actually getting work done.
Also, not sure if I should POAS with DH's awareness or if I should do it in private and tell him later.
To be honest, I'm nervous about his reaction. He's on board with the idea of children (obviously - since we've been trying for 9mos), but I wouldn't say he's "excited" about it. I hope that when I tell him, he expresses at least a little bit of excitement, or else I might have hurt feelings.
Given what I just said, I wonder if I should POAS on my own, have my crazy freak out excitement to myself, and then tell him later when I am a little more relaxed. Or would that be sad to have to keep it to myself for 9 hours?
Gosh, I'm rambling, ...NERVOUS can you tell? But I want this...so bad.
Re: When to POAS
You can POAS whenever you want. It's just that first morning urine could give you a more accurate result especially if you are testing earlier.
But it is really all up to you. And not to be a downer or rude, but why do you want to have kids now if you don't even know what your DH is going to say about it?
In any case, I wish you best of luck and may all your wishes come true!
I agree with you in that it would be impossible for me to go to work after getting a BFP, which is why I usually test at night if its a weekday.
However, I'm a little confused as to why you are worried about your DH's reaction. sounds like he isnt completely onboard with having a baby, and if he isnt its probably not a good idea to TTGP right now.
Hey Skittles- I think we're close to cycle buddies..although my cycles (until this one), go 25 days, then 28, then 25, then 28, then 25...today is 28 and I haven't started yet. I also usually have spotting 1 day before, and nothing. I tested this morning with FMU and an IC...BFN.
My plan is to wait a couple more days and try a FRER.
Thank you SO MUCH for your post. Its nice to know there's someone out there who understands where I'm at. Thank you
You're welcome! I hope you get your BFP VERY soon!
