Hi everyone, I'm new but this seems like a helpful resource!
I've looked through some older threads, but wanted to ask for any suggestion on infant full time daycare in heights/north of heights area. I've toured two locations: St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and Montessori Childrens' Cottage.
Right now, I'm playing phone tag with Esperanza.
I'd like to tour other daycares, but after these three I'm at a bit of a loss. Any suggestions?
or- if you use a nanny, would you share how you found them and your experience?
Thanks!
Re: Infant Care: heights/north of height
Do you need full day care hours?
Gonzales on Rutland is used by a lot of Heights moms. It's nothing fancy to look at but the kids and parents I know are all really happy there. It's also very affordable.
I don't know if 3Rs offers extended day care hours but it's Montessori based. Worth checking out.
There is actually a website owned and operated by a local mom called www.kidcareyears.com Some info and free and then you can pay for additional info. Worth checking out.
Creme downtown
Trinity Lutheran downtown-ish
Cathedral House downtown
Thanks for the suggestions - I'm looking for full time care.
I'm actually just north of the Heights in Garden Oaks with my office closeby. That makes downtown out of my way, but I still appreciate those suggestions.
And thanks for the website recommendation, I'll check it out!
Are you a member of GO_kids? I really think referrals are the best way to find a nanny, if that is something you're also interested in. If you're not, you can DM me and I can put you in touch with someone from that group. I am not sure how memberships work for them.
Also, just wanted to add I know a lot of people who are really happy with their kids at Esperanza. My son was there before he started pre-K and we liked it. The administration is for the birds, but the teachers are really sweet!
