So, I know you'll need clothes for baby to go home in, but how much do you need for before you're checked out of the hospital? And do most people just put baby in plain white onesies?
Our hospital provided little white shirts with side snaps for our stay there, we just kept him in that, a diaper and a swaddle blanket while in the hospital.

We had our tour this weekend and our hospital does the same. They provide tshirts/diapers/hats/blankets while we're there. I'd rather let them do that laundry!
I brought 3 or 4 onesies, but i was in the hospital longer for a cs
and i brought cute onesies... no frilly dresses or anything like that obviously. at the hospital i know they didn't have onesies just these little shirts that snapped around. i didn't care for the roughness of the fabric and wanted my own stuff. but i didn't dress her until the 2nd day i was in there.

They will provide clothing for the baby while you are in the hospital so I wouldn't bother with packing much. You might want something cute for the pictures if they take them at your hospital.

I wouldn't have even thought that the hospital would provide that stuff but it makes sense. I guess I'll find out when we go on our tour next week!
We get little night shirts for baby from the hospital to use while we are there. BUT, I bring onsies and little sleepers to use while there as well as little mittens and hats.
