I still have two very gently used kawaiis $14 for both with inserts if anyone's interested. They were only worn probably 2 or 3 times, no stains, washed in rock n green detergent. I'm getting rid of them because I like pre-folds better! Go figure. Anyway how's CDing been for everyone? What is your LO wearing today? Right now E is wearing a blue flip with stay dry insert.

DD is wearing a zinnia BG 4.0.
Here's my question for the day - do I need to start scraping/otherwise getting rid of poop before I wash when I start any solids at all? I currently EBF and it's so nice to just do the extra rinse with the washer. My plan is to start with very small amounts of rice cereal at first.

Ry's got a SunBaby on. They don't really fit him the best, so that kind of sucks since that's 95% of our stash. It seems like they need to be extremely tight in order to not have the gap on top, but then it leaves marks on his skin.
I'm not sure what to think about them yet (absorbency wise), we've just started using them.
A is wearing a WAHM pocket diaper I got on Etsy. It has toast, bacon and eggs on it. :P
I'm still selling a white/blue Econobum with 3 prefolds. It's new without tags.

M wore a BG to bed last night. I always stuff the insert and the newborn insert for night time. But right now she is in a sposie because she is at the babysitters and she will not do cloth. Such is life I guess.
I made an order to Sweetbottoms Baby on Friday. She just sent me an email saying my order is processing. I can't wait to get it!

I'm loving our KaWaii Bamboo Minkys, they're so soft. Have been having issues with the KaWaii overnights though -- DS still wakes up SOAKING from neck to tummy! He's a tummy sleeper so that probably doesn't help matters, but even with the two KaWaii mf inserts + a hemp insert he soaks himself. Am thinking of going back to GMGN fitteds with hemp + a wool soaker to see if that helps. He might wake up and smell like pee in his fitteds, but he won't actually be wet. We'll see.
Anyone else have a heavy wetting, long time sleeper with a good CD solution? DS is a pee monster and he'll sleep for 12 hours! A recipe for disaster, lol.
We're about a week into the JD trial and DH and I are both loving it! We've had success with all of the diapers, except a few different prefolds have leaked. However, we'ved had a few successes with the prefolds as well. Right now C is in a Thirsties Duo dipe.
I just put in an order at Nicki's for 2 Thirsties Duo Wraps, 2 Best Bottoms Shells, 1 BB Hemp insert, 1 BB Stay Dry insert, 1 Bummies Whisper Wrap, and 2 pail liners.
From GMD I ordered 2 different sizes of prefolds. I heard the clotheez are really great so I wanted to try them out. I also ordered a clotheez Workhorse diaper. I wanted to see how I liked those.
When we send back the trial we're going to keep the two BG's and the Fuzzibuns because we like those for night time.
After I try out the Best Bottoms, I'm hoping to buy a package deal of them, and have C in those during the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays when MIL watches him. I figure those would be easier for her than prefolds. I think I'm going to do mostly prefolds while I'm at home, and we'll do mostly pockets at night.

My mom is going to sew my cloth wipes today or Wednesday since I've never touched a sewing machine! Woohoo!
Ok I do have one question : Once C is on solids, I'm thinking about doing dunk and swish while I'm at home because I don't really mind it. However, when he's being babysat, I was thinking of using liners because that would be easier for MIL/My mom. Then I was wondering, would it stain/be bad if I did the dunk and swish later? I.E, C poos while my mom is watching him at say noon, and I just have her fold up the dipe and put it in the pail, and then when I get home that evening, I dunk and swish it?
ALSO, any Best Bottoms users with LO's on solids: how are the poops in the BB's? Are they generally all over the shell or do they ever leak? (Obvs it depends on baby, but in general I'm wondering!)

Ike is currently wearing a Bella Bottom AIO with a prefold laid inside (I'm learning he is a heavy wetter so we need the extra protection)
I'm starting to look into converting prefolds into fitted diapers.. and found one! So my goal is next paycheck go to Joanne's and pick up my supply and give it a shot and see if I like it or not. I think I can spare one or two for experiments. I'm also going to make my own wipes.. I'm finding that it would be easier to have cloth wipes for when I use cloth diapers. because it smells up his room if I use the huggie wipes and throw into the trash! lol
With FBs if I use mf + hemp DD wakes up soaked. I think it's because it's overstuffed and makes it gape at the legs and waist. If I just use one hemp insert she's dry but that thing is soaked. It smells like pee but she smells fine once I change her out of it. GL! I hope you find a nighttime solution!
DD is in a sposie right now because I asked DH to put the diapers in the dryer for me the other day and he threw in a dryer sheet. Since then many of them have been leaking so I'm stripping them all with Dawn. Washing diapers is the one thing in the house that DH has never done, so I've never told him the specifics.
We have two GMD snug-to-fits that I bought as seconds (I think the same sale that she has going now). They're OK. They fit pretty well, and it looks like they'll continue to fit him for a long time. The only reason I'm not as fond of them is that it seems like he pees through them pretty quickly, so if I want him to wear it for more than just a little while I usually wind up sticking a hemp doubler in there. I guess it makes sense because I think they're equivalent in absorbency to prefolds, and he can pee through those pretty quickly. They do seem a bit bulky compared to my homemade fitteds, but those are sized so it makes sense that the OS would be bulkier. I guess for me they fall into the "meh, they're OK" category.
ETA: Ok, so I just had DS in a snug-to-fit and he had a mighty poop. You know, the kind that keeps going long after you think it has to be done. I fully expected to be washing his wool cover after that, but the snug-to-fit contained it quite nicely. I think he had a mini pond in there. Just wanted to add that, because my previous review wasn't the most glowing - I think they've gone up in my eyes.
