DH and I have used the Little Noses Saline Drops for my son but I was interested in the Simply Saline one because it comes in the mist bottle. I pumped it into the air just to test the strength and was surprised that it seemed to shoot out more than "mist". I said to DH that I didn't feel comfy using it on DS. DH basically thought I was overreacting so he said I could spray it into his nose as a test.
Lol...yeah...that was pretty funny and yup, we BOTH decided not to use it on DS.
I sprayed it into DH's nose and he immediately errupted into a fit of coughs and giggles (it tickled his nose hairs)! He thinks it reached his brain lol.
I guess I thought it would be a gentle mist. Is there something I'm missing here??
Re: Baby Simply Saline "Mist" - do you use this?

All this. We use the adult and, according to our pharmacist, it's the same as the baby version.

I made it fun for LO by spraying it in her nose and then making a huge exaggerated sniff as if I as the one trying the inhale the mist (almost loud enough to make snorting noises). LO eventually thought this was hilarious so I usually was able to spray twice in each nostril with minimal fuss. It took some time for the funny to kick in for LO but the persistence helped. And I think she also realized after a few tries that I only sprayed her a few times with the mist whereas the drops I had to almost drown her with the drops to get them in her nostrils..
Us too. I was a little skeptical about the mist, but it worked really really well. I couldn't believe how much snot I got out!
Echoing a few others-- the mist works much better for us than the drops.
