I avoided during my whole first pregnancy, and I was pregnant over the winter last time. Anyway, we were invited to a fish fry this weekend and I just wondered if anyone knows if it's on the safe list.
Well, It's not the best...I live 2 houses away from lake erie, and although my Dr hasnt said specifically perch, I know that Walleye you have to watch out for. I'm pretty sure that the perch are on the "just eat a few pieces" list...

We have 4 bags in the freezer and I have been waiting for it to warm up so we can cook outside! I have really been craving perch, glad it's on the safe list! Hope you get some perch soon!
I live in Michigan and I was told by my doctor's office specifically NOT to eat any fish from the Great Lakes for the duration of the pregnancy. Their claim was that it had a higher level of mercury
Hate to say it but I agree with the PP. I am also from MI and was told not to eat any fish from the great lakes which I totally agree sucks because I love lake fish.
