Any other LO's not into fruit?

DS has been eating like a horse lately (I just noticed today that his 12-18 month pants are getting short on him so I'm guessing he's been going through yet another growth spurt) but does not take in much fruit.  Even with purees, he never liked most fruits- he acts like they're too sweet.  He makes the face I would make if something was super sour. 

He eats veggies, so that's good!  I just think it's strange for a kid to not really like fruits.  Anyone else have a LO that doesn't seem to enjoy fruit?

    Raises hand.  DS loves all the veggies, but fruit (purees) even I have to mix with oatmeal, he will not eat it alone.  The only puree fruit that DS seems to like is prunes.  Strange, huh!

    Hahhaha- of all the fruits!!

    DS will sometimes eat pears.  My SIL babysat for us last night and for dinner she tried to get him to eat some peaches.  She said his face was so funny that she broke out her video camera and recorded it.

    I thought it was funny because I HATE prunes.  Pears is really the only other fruit that DS will eat.  No bananas, apples, peaches.  He even hates YoBaby yogurt.  I guess as long as he likes veggies, but you are right I find it strange that he does not like fruit.

    DS isn't really into the YoBaby yogurts either- he makes the "too sweet" face with them, as well (even with the sweet potato flavor, though- maybe he's just dramatic ;)  He did ok with them for a while, but now won't really take them.

    No fruits here either.  DD will eat just about anything you give except fruit.  She will spit them out and drop them on the floor for the dogs.  I figure as long as she is eatting veggies I will not worry about the fruit.

    Mason is just like DS. DS won't eat fruits or YoBaby yogurt either. He always makes that sour face too. I think it's too sweet/tart for him. The only fruit he'll eat is avocado which isn't even sweet.

    I have met other moms that say their LOs don't like fruit either. It must be somewhat common.

    DS will not eat fruit either, but he will eat apple sauce (ive tried sneaking purees into his apple sauce and that didnt work)

    This! He cries if I give him peaches. He tolerates apples, pears and bananas but they have to be mixed with rice cereal. Hr makes the sour face too!

    I wish it were the other way around. Harrison will eat any fruit you give him, but turns up his nose at a green bean or broccoli stick. Little stinker!
