You have much to learn young grasshopper

Says my old dog Morgan to the young punk Penny.

Morgan has perfected the art of getting the other dogs to give up their bed or toys- she just barks by the door, they get up to check it out and Morgan steals their bed or toy.   they fall for it every time.  I also have fallen for it and lost my spot on the floor.

Penny just pulled a Morgan.  My berner Layla was chewing on a toy, Penny barked by the door, L got up and P snuck in and stole her toy.   Love it!

  • Hmmm..I guess I'm the young grasshopper in your story, because my dogs can get me every time.

Wrigley and Gabby work together. If I'm eating a snack in the living room, they will work together to create some sort of "scene"..like Gabby will pretend she is throwing up or she'll get something she isn't supposed to get. So I get up to see what's going on, setting my snack down, and Wrigley runs over and grabs it and then they share it.

They never take food they aren't supposed to take...except in this situation.

And it happens more than I care to admit.

  • We rescued our little girl about 2.5 years ago and she was from a puppy mill.  She didn't know how to play with toys, other dogs, or even that she was a pug.  Well our big boy Rocky has taught her how to sing for her food and to not let mommy sit on the couch without pugs all over me.

The best part is, she has started playing with toys and with Rocky.  They are so stinkin' cute it makes my heart melt.  They get into trouble together but I have a hard time being the bad guy because they are just so cute doing it together!

I love puppies!  (My dogs are about to turn 6 & 7 and I still call them puppies!)
