2nd Trimester

Endometriosis Anyone?

Any other Bumpies out there with Endo? If so, has your pain gotten any better?

I'm stage 2, had my last surgery in June and I've been having some really bad days. We originally refused to take a preg test in the beginning because it was the worst pain I had ever had. Now that I'm farther along, I feel like right after I have RLP or any stretching pain the endo gets pretty bad. I thought it would be getting better by now!! :(

Re: Endometriosis Anyone?

  • I have Stage I, but most of it was cleaned out during my Lap a year before getting pregnant.  AF was just starting to get a little painful again so I doubt much of it had come back yet.   I haven't really had any pain that wasn't normal or related to other issues I had.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

  • I have extreme pain with my endo but knock on wood, pregnancy is the one thing that stops the pain and for that, I love being pregnant!

  • Ah, I wish that was my case! How long post preg did it take for your pain to come back? Do you know if you have had any nerve damage because of the endo? My endo reached my sciatic nerve, I'm wondering if this is why I still have pain.

Post PG (it took almost a year...however, I breastfed until 9 months and didn't get AF until 6 months) at about 10 months I started feeling some discomfort and by 11-12 months I was in horrible pain (worse than before pg, which made me sad because I have heard of pregnancy "curing" endo pain for some but that was NOT my case.)  It did reach my sciatic nerve because that pain started up within a few months after the initial pain.  It is horrible.  I finally went to an accupuncturist in a last ditch effort because nothing was working and she helped A LOT.  I still go to her now.
