IU/Clarion ob's?

Hi all.  Just found out I was pregnant with my first!  I'm new to the Indy area and don't have a doc.  I live downtown--any suggestions for OB's at IU? Thanks

    Welcome and congratulations! We live downtown too. My OB is Dr. Claire Bernardin - her office is at actually at Methodist (which is where she delivers), but she is part of IU Health. I would definitely recommend delivering at Methodist vs. IU unless you are high risk - Methodist is much more family-friendly and a more comfortable experience, IMO.  I love Dr. Bernardin but she isn't the most touchy-feely OB. She is pretty straightforward and tells it like it is, which I like, but she is a very good, experienced physician. I also like her because she is a solo practitioner, so i knew she would be the one who delivered me. She delivered both of my kids and both experiences were wonderful. She does have a nurse practitioner that patients see for some of their appointments, but I also really like her and trust her as much as Dr. Bernardin (and I'm kind of picky).
