NBR: gift for a man?

What do you get as a pick-me-up for a 50 yr old man who is having a bad week?  Girls are so much easier!

  • LOL!  I'm going to tell him that when I get him whatever it is I come up wtih!

  • Baseball season just started..I would get a middle aged man a pair of tickets to a ball game. That would cheer me up spending the day in the nice spring weather at a ball game with a friend and ice cold beer. :)

  • If he's your partner, pretend it's steak and blow job day :P

If he isn't, a case of his favourite beer or wine?

  • I always tend to go with books lol! But, if he's not that type, maybe something specific within his interest. I like the baseball ticket idea, maybe tickets to a play or concert if he's not a sports fan? Nothing says 'cheer up and have a good time' like tickets to something that breaks up the daily routine. Or bake him a gift basket of yummy stuff like cookies and bananna bread etc. It really also depends on why he's upset. Did someone die? Maybe go with the baked goods. Just blue? Baseball.

Oddly this phrase made me giggle, but I agree that the gift should be appropriate to why he's blue. Maybe even a funny DVD or tickets to a comedy show if he just needs cheering up. Baked goods are always a good idea so I second that.
