And all I want is Chipotle, so that is our fancy anniversary dinner, with a side of no children, and a movie on On Demand. Oh, and cookie dough. DH just dropped the girls off (even Lila ) and is picking dinner up right now, and I'm already wearing my PJ's (comfy ones). Does this mean we're officially a boring, old married couple (especially since I'm totally excited for this)? lol. A bunch of things came up this past week and we're just exhausted and we'd rather just have a date night next weekend when the timing is better, but since we already had sitter arrangements with MIL, we're taking advantage. I'm just happy for the alone time and the chance to sit on the couch.
Re: So, it's our anniversary...
I think it sounds divine! The side of "no children" is the best part
On our 5th wedding anniversary, we kept my 9 year old niece overnight as a favor to my sister, and took the kids to the pumpkin patch.
I try not to think of it as boring or settled, but just in a good, comfortable place. Happy anniversary!
Tyler Anthony arrived on 9.21.09
The Chronicles of Justin and Tyler
That actually sounds devine. For our 5th, this past Sept., we took newborn Iris and watched a matinee and then ate Qdoba. Par-tay!
Happy anniversary!
Well our 5 year is coming up in a couple months and our big plans for our 5th was to go back to Hawaii, where we went for our honeymoon. But since I will probably be round as a house about that time, those plans went right out the window. So I have a feeling our plans this year are going to be right in line with yours, and truthfully those plans sound great, I wouldnt be disappointed at all!
ETA: I just want so big fat yummy chocolate brownie to finish out the night!
Sounds heavenly to me too.
FWIW, I'm pretty sure my dh worked the night of our anniversary.
It was great fun! And honestly I wouldn't even care about the "date night redo" except that there is a new restaurant I want to try.
