We originally wanted a Florida PrePaid plan, but now it's up to $294/month for a 4-yr university, and we can't afford that right now. We could, but then our retirement savings would be compromised, and that's not a good idea. You should always make sure your own retirement fund is going well before investing more money for college.
We picked the Florida investment plan, which is a regular 529 plan. We put $100/month for now and will probably increase the payment once we are able to.

Thanks for posting the link! It's been a big issue for us. We haven't been able to find an adequate college savings plan so far. We are hoping that our real estate will cover part of the tuition when our LO's go to college. I am also glad I didn't do anything prepaid for my oldest. She didn't get into the state college here in NJ so the money would have been lost. (She ended up going to a state college in a different state.)

Glad everyone liked it. So far we have yet to put the money into a 529, it's just in a regular savings account. We're not really sure what country we'll be in, let alone what sate, so we're kind of dragging our feet.
