finally can post again! hello VBAC board

I've been lurking on this board forever but for some reason I was locked out of my stupid bump account forever. anyways, it works again finally!
i'm curently 33w5 days pregnant with another little boy (EDD of 5/13/11) and hoping for a VBAC. I am interviewing a doula this Saturday and I'm pretty sure I am going to hire her. Other than that, I am doing Yoga, seeing a chiropractor, and doing anything else I can think of to get myself prepared.

If you don't mind me asking, who is your OB? Where are you delivering?
I'm delivering at Virtua (looks like I'll probably just miss the opening of the new hospital) and am with the practice of OB/GYN Associates (DiGiovanni/Richichi - don't know if you've ever heard of them). One of the Drs. in their practice delivered my son via emergency C-section, and though I wasn't happy with the way my birth was handled with that particular Dr., I decided to stay with the practice because I like their outlook on VBACs. I also have a doula too. I know you said you are meeting with one already, but if you'd like info on my doula I'd be happy to share it with you. She's really great, but still "in-training", which means her price is extremely reasonable.
Hey Gina! I am delivering at Virtua also. That is where I had my first son too. I loved my OB but I really feel like he completely let me down in the labor process. He was a solo guy and really rushed my labor (broke my water when i was only 2-3 cm, started pit, pushed the epi on me etc). I am currently seeing Garden State OBGYN. They have been great so far, seem really supportive.
I am meeting with Jodie Kent-Spencer (doula) tomorrow, she has a lot of experience (10 years) and has assisted many labors at Virtua and patients with my practice.
I'd love to get the name of your doula as well in case for whatever reason I don't "click" with Jodie tomorrow.
Also, I am not sure if you new this, but they finally got an ICAN chapter in SJ. My friend Melissa started it up and the next meeting is on April 25th at the Haddon Township Library at 7:00. Please come! We had our first meeting this past monday and it was great to hear the VBAC stories and get the support that WE can do it!
Angie - I'm so excited to hear about the SJ ICAN chapter. I just wrote the meeting down in my datebook and plan on being there : ) Is there a website or an email list I can join?
A lot of my friends go to Garden State and I've heard lots of great stuff about them. I will PM you the email address of my doula and my email address in case you have any other questions about her.
