Preston has always been a great eater (even if I have to tell him to quiet down and eat his dinner 50 million times), he will still eat it. It's a real struggle to get him to eat and he has gone without dessert because of it (which is unheard of for him). Lately, he hasn't wanted to eat anything (this morning he had a juice and yogurt for breakfast) and nothing else.
It's just a really strange turn of events for us. He is a beanpole already. I don't want to start seeing his ribs because of lack of food. :-(
Re: Are there any moms of preschoolers on (4 year olds)?
Thanks for replying! He has never been a breakfast eater either. It's funny, because at this point, Harrison is eating twice as much as Preston.
It is totally normal. I remember when Taylor was 1 and Alex was 3, thinking that Taylor was always outeating her sister.
Mine will be 4 this summer.
He used to be a CRAZY big eater. He would eat just as much as me. Now? Not so much. I know he's not picky, it's just because he's not hungry. I'm not concerned because while he is thin, he's not THAT thin and we do have a thin family anyways.

I wouldn't be concerned about it unless you are also noticing weight loss and/or a drop in energy level. My son is also a good eater, but has his phases where he eats much less. Just last week he picked at almost every meal for the entire week and for the last two days he has been eating me out of house and home like he is starving every 20 minutes.
LOL at this. Breakfast is DS's worst meal of the day also, especially on weekdays when we have to be out of the house by 8:30 for preschool and he doesn't have two hours to leisurely eat his breakfast. Meanwhile, my DD can devour an entire adult sized pancake, a bowl of fruit and a whole cup of milk in 15 minutes or less!
